Arbaa Minchii fi Nechisar
The town between two lakes, and the Nechisar park lookout.
Arba Minch sits on a ridge between Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo. The name means forty springs. Crocodile and hippo trips go out on Chamo. The Nechisar escarpment lookout, called the Bridge of God, faces both lakes.
The town is also the start of the road to the Omo. Hotels are on the ridge and down toward Sikela. Two nights cover the boat and a slow morning in the market before you continue south or back to Hawassa.
